 When Sarah Smiles

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. ~ Isaiah 43:18 NIV

Sarah McCall is waiting to leave for the mission field when the man she once loved steps back into her life. Abandoned as a child by a runaway mother and a gambler father, she strives to overcome a tarnished history she didn’t create and a heartbreak she can’t forget.

Peter Caswell returns to his hometown a widower, dedicating himself to his daughter and congregation. No matter how hard he tries to move on, past mistakes endanger the life he desires to build.

Sarah believes serving in Africa as a missionary will heal the painful past. Peter hopes his childhood friend will help him with his sweet and mischievous four-year-old. When Sarah smiles, it warms his heart and helps him believe he can become the man God desires. But a charming coworker pursues Sarah’s affections—and her childhood nemesis manipulates her way into Peter’s life. With scandal tearing them apart, will Sarah and Peter find a way to put the past behind and embrace a future together?

When Sarah Smiles is a story about two people who learn that only by giving and accepting forgiveness can they truly put the past  behind and fully embrace a joyful present and future.
